Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and career-driven Sales Trainee to join our Savannah team. This is a structured, full-time development role designed to prepare you for a long-term career in Outside Sales. The first 6 months will be spent learning our products, pricing tools, and estimating processes. After that, you will transition into an Outside Sales Engineer role, managing your own accounts and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Training Phase (First 6 Months):
•Assist Estimators and Sales Engineers in preparing accurate and timely HVAC equipment estimates
•Learn to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
•Use OST software for material take-offs and manufacturer tools for product selection and pricing
•Develop knowledge of TBCo’s products, processes, and customers
•Shadow Outside Sales team to observe client interactions and develop sales skills
Outside Sales Phase (Post-Training):
•Develop and manage relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building owners
•Promote TBCo's HVAC products and services to existing and prospective clients
•Provide technical consultation, product recommendations, and project support
•Prepare and present proposals, bids, and quotes tailored to client needs
•Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of sales
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or related field preferred—but motivated graduates from other disciplines will be considered
•Strong interest in building a career in technical sales
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn from experienced mentors
•Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
•Basic understanding of HVAC systems or a strong desire to learn
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with OST software a plus
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
