Construction Project Manager

 is a steel fabrication business that specializes in public works projects (water and wastewater treatment plants and some public transportation, etc.). We are looking to add another Project Manager to our team. This Project Manager will be assigned multiple customers and their projects to manage on time lines. This is an in-office position with a 90-day training period. Applicants will complete a personnel potential analysis, IQ and aptitude tests as well as pass a drug test.

- Provide deliverables to customers within the scope, budget, and schedule per the project specifications.

- Manage submittals, Change Orders, Requests for Information.

- Handle customer service-related concerns.

- Coordinate our work with other trades and vendors to ensure things work together.

- Manage detailers and ensure drawings are acceptable to submit for approval and send to the shop for fabrication.

- Work on design teams (Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, and Owners) to provide solutions for design options suited for steel fabrication.

- Keep all records of job including drawings log and submittal log.

Abilities, Skills, Qualifications Required:

- Strong communication skills will be needed to communicate effectively with GCs, Engineers, Architects, Subcontractors, and shop personnel.

- Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Suite.

- Read construction blueprints and specifications.

- Math skills to understand estimating, budget reports, invoicing, and Change Order request.

- Problem solving and conflict management.

- Imaginative and agile to solve complex problems in a timely manner.

- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

- Professional appearance and positive attitude.

- Detail oriented.

- Great organizational skills and document control.

- Ability to travel occasionally.

Experience:

- At least 1 year of experience in construction project management is a must.

- Any construction estimating experience is a plus.

- Any metals fabrication experience is a plus.

Base pay (approximately $20 per hour) plus monthly bonuses for this role, puts the pay at $60,000+ per year. Monthly bonuses have no limits and are based on completed portions of your assigned customer's projects.
