Industry-leading energy and general contractor, Top Form Industrial, Inc., TFI, founded in 2006, specializes in back-up power, including generators, fuel cells, and battery energy storage systems, as well as primary meter conversions and switchgear replacement. As a Construction Project Manager, you will lead projects involving the installation of back-up power generators, fuel cells, and related electrical infrastructure. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction, from planning and budgeting through execution and close-out. This role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and coordination abilities to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of generator and fuel cell installation projects, including site preparation, excavation, and concrete foundations for equipment pads, as well as electrical and mechanical scopes including switchgear, fuel systems, and interconnections.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Prepare subcontractor scopes of work, issue purchase orders, and negotiate contracts.
- Lead project meetings with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Oversee submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, permitting, and safety standards.
- Track progress and provide regular reports to senior management and clients.
- Anticipate and resolve project challenges, coordinating solutions across multiple trades.
- Manage close-out activities, including punch lists, as-builts, commissioning, and turnover packages.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience).
- 5 years of experience in general/electrical contracting supervision or management preferred.
- Familiarity with generator, fuel cell, or critical power infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of civil, electrical, and mechanical construction practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and permitting requirements.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and travel to project sites as needed.
- Office-based role requiring intermittent presence on active construction sites across multiple states.
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation is a must.
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends as required to meet project schedules.
