Construction Project Manager

Job Summary

Benchmark Utility Services is currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate all phases of utility construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in utility construction management, project scheduling, and coordinating various aspects of construction projects. This role requires excellent time management skills, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency in various construction management software tools.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.

- Manage procurement of materials and equipment.

- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

- Oversee project coordination activities including site inspections, safety compliance, and quality assurance.

- Review contracts and ensure adherence to contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.

- Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during construction.

- Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records.

- Provide leadership on-site, fostering a positive work environment while managing construction teams effectively.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in construction management or project management within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and practices.

- Proficiency in using construction management software.

- Excellent understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, contracts, and relevant regulations.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.

- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.

- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
