Underground Construction Miner - Transmixer Operator

is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. This is a very exciting time at Young-Davidson, and we are searching for highly motivated and committed people to join our team!

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient completion of underground construction projects.

Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities:

- Operate equipment such as transmixer and shotcrete sprayer;

- Assist in installation, modification and repairs of UG infrastructures;

- Support construction crews whenever required; and

- Any other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications And Experience

- 3-5 years’ of underground experience;

- Accreditation in U/G common core modules and specialty modules would be an asset;

- Strong Safety focus;

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently;

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;

- Able to operate heavy equipment in an UG context.

Schedule:

7 days on/ 7 days off, 10 hour shifts
