Your contribution!
The Construction Mechanical Manager supports project planning, supervises daily contractor activities, and ensures compliance with HSE and QA/QC standards. They monitor progress, manage risks, and report to the Senior Construction Site Manager to maintain efficient site operations.
Your day-to-day!
Project Planning and Coordination.
- During the pre-construction phase of a project, support the Project team in the development of the Project execution plan, project configuration, engineering design progress and construction and procurement contracting.
- Participate to the development and preparation of on-site construction QA/QC plan and reporting.
Site Management (Reporting to Senior Construction Site Manager).
- Daily contractor supervision and work inspection to ensure efficient workflow and productivity as planned on site.
- Monitor progress and participate to the implementation of risk mitigation measures as needed.
- Monitor compliance and adherence to construction contracts and supplier’s agreements.
- Monitor contractors and suppliers’ health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and plans.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
- Quality Control and Assurance.
- Monitor defects or non-conformities as per QA/QC plan, drawings, and specifications.
- Monitor testing specifications and procedures.
- Monitor and report potential risks.
- Report promptly any emergencies or unexpected issues to minimize impact on the project.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in the construction and/or management of solar projects
- Mechanical engineering degree, or equivalent
- Experience with large and complex multidisciplinary projects including contract and supplier interfaces
- EPC experience desirable
- Team oriented attitude
- Understanding of renewable energy project construction
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Service-oriented with commitment to working within a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, self-starter and energetic
- Makes good decisions based on available information and with the interest of the company priority
- Proficient in English, both oral and written (knowledge of French and Spanish, an asset);
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially MS project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- The position is based on Innergex’ construction sites in the USA.
- This position is a P3 level

Pay Transparency Statement
Compensation for roles at Innergex varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, and level of experience. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $102,000 - $135,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired by Innergex, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
