We’re seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to support the maintenance of our positive safety culture while ensuring company compliance with all relevant guidelines, including those from the company, federal, and state authorities. This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO, office.
Role & Responsibilities:
•Travel to job sites to perform inspections, compliance checks, and safety paperwork.
•Review JSAs and provide recommendations based on assessment results.
•Participate in or facilitate safety meetings with office and field personnel.
•Assist with continuous improvement projects.
•Observe employees and contractors to assist in accident prevention and eliminate at-risk behaviors.
•Coach/mentor employee(s) when they are observed in an unsafe act or situation.
•Effectively present safety information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and customers.
•Assist in new hire safety orientation, company safety training, and toolbox talks.
•Update the Safety Director on essential field issues that require attention.
Qualifications:
•2-3 years’ experience within the Construction Safety industry.
•Experience and/or education in risk management, safety and health, construction management, or a comparable combination of experience and education
•Experience ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret state or federal regulations.
•Capable of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive situations.
•Ability to sit, stand, and walk (flat ground, uneven ground, upstairs, or ramps)
•Must have a current driver's license.
