Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Field Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety programs within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks associated with construction site operations. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health standards, OSHA regulations, and risk management practices.
Responsibilities
•Conduct site inspections, incident/accident investigations and review safety procedures to develop and implement improvement strategies and corrective action plans.
•Provide training and risk assessments to effectively reduce risk.
•Conduct site inspections to identify potential OSHA and safety hazards.
•Respond to safety concerns and emergencies promptly and effectively.
•Ensures new materials handling processes are communicated and utilized by operations.
•Assists in training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
•Supports compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.).
•Supervise the installation of safety devices and protective equipment.
•Assists with injury and incident inquiries and evaluations.
•Inspect safety equipment to ensure proper protection for workers.
•Work closely with project managers to plan and implement safe work practices.
•Must be available to work nights, weekends, and be on-call as needed based on operational demands.
•Build relationships with employees to foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all levels of the organization.
•Performs other assignments as required.
Qualifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
•Degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
•Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards regarding construction.
•Minimum of 2 years' safety experience in the construction industry required.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively train employees at all levels. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
•Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective solutions.
•Certification in EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) or similar credentials is desirable.
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
•Valid Driver's License is required.

•Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, negotiations, engineering, cost controls, schedules and safety required.
•Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
•Strong time management skills.
•Ability to successfully work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Competent use of Microsoft Office suite applications and HCSS software preferred.
•Ability to identify safety threats.
•Interprets facts and provides documented explanations– investigative skills needed.
•Strong analytical knowledge to resolve issues and interpret or summarize information.
•Ability to make decisions on safe/unsafe working conditions within company guidelines and OSHA standards.
