Concrete Laborer

About the Role

Rapido Construction is looking for an experienced Concrete Worker / Concrete Finisher / Construction Laborer to help with residential and construction projects in the Miami area.

We need someone with hands-on experience working with concrete, forms, slabs, patios, sidewalks, driveways, foundations, rebar, pouring, finishing, patching, and general construction labor. The ideal person is reliable, hardworking, physically strong, and knows how to work safely on an active job site.

Responsibilities

- Prepare areas for concrete work, including cleanup, digging, grading, and site preparation.

- Build, set, align, and remove concrete forms for slabs, patios, sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and other concrete areas.

- Help with layout, measurements, pitch, slope, and proper concrete placement.

- Cut, place, and tie rebar or wire mesh for concrete reinforcement.

- Mix, pour, spread, level, and smooth concrete.

- Use hand tools and power tools, including shovels, rakes, floats, trowels, screeds, edgers, jointers, saws, drills, and compactors.

- Finish concrete surfaces with broom finish, smooth finish, edges, joints, and other finishes as needed.

- Cut control joints and expansion joints when required.

- Apply curing compounds, sealers, coatings, or waterproofing materials when needed.

- Patch, repair, and restore damaged concrete.

- Help with demolition, removal of old concrete, debris cleanup, and material handling.

- Load, unload, carry, and move materials around the job site.

- Work safely around wet concrete, tools, equipment, dust, heat, and construction areas.

- Communicate clearly with the project manager about materials, job progress, and any issues found on site.

Requirements

- Experience with concrete work, concrete finishing, construction labor, or masonry.

- Ability to build and set forms correctly.

- Experience pouring, spreading, leveling, and finishing concrete.

- Knowledge of rebar, wire mesh, control joints, expansion joints, slope, pitch, and drainage is a plus.

- Ability to use basic concrete and construction tools.

- Must be reliable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions.

- Must be able to work outside in Miami heat and active construction conditions.

- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and move construction materials.

- Reliable transportation preferred.

- OSHA card is a plus but not required.

Language

Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome. English is not required. Spanish-only is okay as long as you have strong experience and can communicate clearly on the job site.

Schedule

Full-time or part-time available. We are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Pay

Pay is based on experience. Rapido Construction is willing to pay well for someone who is skilled, reliable, and able to help move projects forward.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
