Concrete / Casting

Responsible for performing designated duties in the Casting department following VFP guidelines to construct our concrete buildings in an efficient and timely manner.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings/prints for construction of concrete shelters

- Set up molds as specified on engineering prints

- Assist in achieving a high-quality finish on concrete panels e.g. slick, float, brush, and exposed

- Assist in removing panels from molds

- Operate and maintain concrete equipment such as automatic screed, vibrator, and electric/air hand tools

- Follow all departmental and company safety rules at all times

- Maintain good housekeeping practices by keeping work area neat and clean

- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

- Ability to solve problems in a variety of standardized situations

- Knowledge of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

- Ability to read blue prints and a ruler
