Job Summary

The Compliance Investigator position is primarily dedicated to conducting internal investigations of Code of Conduct matters while also supporting Compliance audits as needed. The Investigator will be responsible for end-to-end case resolution, including root cause analysis and recommendations for remediation, and will play an important role in maintaining the Company’s core value of Integrity. The position requires pragmatic professionalism, exercising sound judgment with limited information, and seamlessly balancing leadership responsibilities while collaboratively supporting functions across the Company.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Leads Compliance Investigations: Independently scopes, conducts, and closes out investigations into Compliance-related matters.

- Manages Hotline & Case Management System: Oversees the Company’s Ethics Hotline and associated case management system, ensuring accurate documentation, tracking, compilation, KPIs, and matter closure.

- Supports Workplace Conduct Investigations: Supports and closely collaborates with Legal and Human Resources on Workplace Conduct investigations.

- Coordinates with External Counsel: Manages relationships with external law firms conducting investigations, ensuring cost-effective and thorough resolution of investigations.

- Data Review: Supports Legal, Risk, & Compliance Organization (LRC) to collect, preserve, and analyze electronic data.

- Reporting & Documentation: Prepares comprehensive, confidential, and actionable investigative reports in support of resolution and broader risk mitigation.

- Audit Support: Provides targeted assistance and leverages investigative skills in support of Compliance Audits and Reviews.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicates progress and outcomes with discretion, building trusted partnerships across relevant functions and sharing lessons learned.

- Continuous Improvement: Identifies trends, root causes, and systemic risks in investigations to enhance Compliance processes, procedures, controls, and training.

- Assists LRC as needed: Balances responsibilities as Investigator with additional needs of the LRC upon request.


Qualifications / Education

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in Law, Business, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or related field; ideally, a relevant advanced degree and/or certification (e.g., CCEP, CFE, CPA).

- At least five (5) years of investigative experience required, ideally within Compliance, Legal, or Audit.

Familiarity with Hotline and case management software required; experience with digital forensics and root cause analysis strongly preferred.


Skills & Experience

- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex investigations.

- Proficiency with Hotline and case management systems.

- Experience with digital forensics and root cause analysis.

- Proven ability to collaborate with, and build trust across, key functions in the company (e.g., HR, IT, Law, and Operations).

- Strong analytical skills with the ability and comfort to make sound judgments with limited information.

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including ability to tailor communications to different stakeholders.

- Ability to balance strategic, high-level advising with hands-on investigative work.

- Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards.

- Ability to travel.
