COMPENSATION HRIS ANALYST 1 - (2500009N)Description
The Compensation HRIS Analyst 1 will perform entry professional level work to
support the annual Compensation process and provide HR systems support;
responsible for data research and analysis in support of the compensation and
HRIS objectives; serve as technical point of contact for assigned functional
areas and assist Technical Staff with ensuring data integrity, testing of system
changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in providing system administration support for
the compensation data and job description management tools; recommend
Complete salary survey submittals and assist with researching and providing
relevant information on current and upcoming competitive labor markets to
ensure competitiveness of pay at the local level. Assist in providing HRIS user/
customer support, which includes but is not limited to: Employee Self Service
(ESS); Manager Self Service (MSS), Oracle: Data Warehouse; and other HRIS
software; provide user training; troubleshoot process and data issues. Assist in
monitoring data integrity by conducting various data audits, which includes
writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries using
appropriate reporting tools. Research, suggest, test and assist with
implementation of: HRIS enhancements, customizations, patches and upgrades;
collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of
upgrade or fix; document process and results; develop standard reports for
ongoing customer needs. Participate on a number of compensation and HRIS
projects in support of achieving annual objectives; assist in checking/verifying
departmental work and in completing job descriptions/job evaluations. Keep
abreast of system developments, management needs, policies/procedures and
federal, state and local laws, regulations and compliance as they pertain to
Human Resources and the Division. Operate Division vehicle, office equipment,
computer software and hardware equipment, etc. Perform other duties as

A valid driver's license from state of residence is required.
EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer
Science, Information Systems or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE 0 - 2 years of experience in compensation analysis and/or evaluating, testing,
implementing and upgrading system applications is required. Experience
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Strong Microsoft Office skills, Excel, Word, Oracle EBS experience a plus. Must
have a basic knowledge of assigned Division operations. Works in office the
majority of time. Subject to hazards at work sites during analysis. Must have
demonstrated knowledge of and application of computer software such as
spreadsheets, word, access, presentation, etc. May be required to work
overtime. Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving standing or
walking for brief periods, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular basis;
