The Community Relations Specialist will work with a team to advance the reputation and image of NorthWestern Energy and contribute to the business and civic life in the communities served by NorthWestern Energy.

About this job:
•Establish productive, positive and effective relationships with business, civic, and local government leaders
•Support NorthWestern Energy in various economic development opportunities including Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development groups
•Communicate company positions on key initiatives for consistent and appropriate company messages
•Identify strengths and challenges in each community
•Review existing agreements, develop consistent strategies, identify opportunities, and establish professional relationships in the communities served
•Support NorthWestern Energy at public meetings and forums
•Develop and/or present informational presentations to governmental and civic groups.
•Work with local Contribution Committees for charitable giving
•Support local employee community/volunteer involvement
•Evaluate and establish methods to grow the utility business
•Assist with development & implementation of a community action plan
•Support NorthWestern Energy on non-profit Boards
•Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
•Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, Code of Conduct and Ethics, and strategic business objectives
