The Location:

The Organization:
Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.
At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, a weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.
Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.
Community Events Specialist :
The Community Events Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and working with internal team members, the community, and vendors to implement and manage events.
Job Duties:
•Plans, implements and facilitates special community events, including coordinating entertainment acts and vendors for events. Coordinates team member schedules for events.
•Creates new events and recommends changes to current events.
•Works with Public Information Specialist to market events.
•Prepares and recommends budget requests, cost estimates, and justifications for needed equipment and supplies.
•Observes and enforces all rules and regulations pertaining to staff and patrons; Educates team members and patrons about the purpose and need for rules and regulations.
•Prepares data on program participation, activity success, and program satisfaction
•Welcomes, greets, and supports patrons of events; Answers inquiries and addresses concerns of patrons.
Minimum Requirement:
•High School diploma or GED
•3- years experience coordinating and managing events or festivals
•Experience working with the public and exceptional customer service skills
•Maintain current certification/license, or ability to attain certification/license within 90 days of hire:
+ American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
Schedule:
•Onsite full-time position - Must be able to work flexible work schedules and irregular hours, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings.
