What You Will Do:
As a Specialist, Communications you will play an essential role within our Corporate Services & Stakeholder Relations business unit, reporting to the Manager, Communications. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
•Supporting the development of communication plans and strategies;
•Creating engaging, audience-centric visual and written content for internal and external communications;
•Managing and monitoring social media platforms, engaging with audiences, and using performance metrics to optimize content and customer engagement;
•Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve cohesive messaging and support organizational goals;
•Verifying all content aligns with Company brand standards and upholds all legal and legislative standards;
•Keeping up to date with developments in communication trends, analytics, platforms, and established best practices; and
•Leading the planning and execution of Communications-led corporate events.
What You Will Bring:
Required qualifications:
•University Degree in Public Relations, Communications or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution;
•Minimum of three (3) years related communications experience; and
•Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
•CPRS and/or IABC Designation;
•Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, including SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
•Intermediate proficiency using graphic design platforms (e.g., Canva);
•Intermediate proficiency in website content management;
•Proficiency in digital marketing and social media strategies;
•Precision in managing content, maintaining accuracy and consistency; and
•Familiarity with the natural gas industry and an understanding of current issues would be an asset.
