We are a growing 25-person HVAC contracting company specializing in commercial projects throughout the region. With our commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, we're seeking a talented Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our team and help drive our continued success.
As our Commercial HVAC Estimator/Project Manager, you will be responsible for accurately estimating plan and specification projects, conducting outside sales activities, and managing projects from inception to completion. This position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your technical expertise while developing client relationships and contributing to our company's growth.
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents for incoming quote requests
- Prepare detailed, competitive estimates for commercial HVAC projects using industry-standard estimating software
- Conduct material and labor takeoffs to compile accurate bids for potential projects
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and clients
- Perform site surveys and attend pre-bid walkthroughs
- Present proposals to clients and secure new business opportunities
- Manage assigned projects from award through completion, ensuring they are performed under budget and according to specifications
- Communicate effectively with the administration team, customers and general contractors / construction managers
- Prepare purchase orders and coordinate material procurement for awarded projects
- Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
- 5+ years of direct experience in commercial HVAC estimating and sales
- Proven track record of successful project estimating and management
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical contracting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, QuoteSoft, or similar tools)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

This position will start with a salary-based compensation during the probationary period (typically 3-6 months). Upon successful completion, the compensation structure will evolve to include both salary and commission opportunities. While training will be provided, direct experience in commercial HVAC sales and estimating is required for this position.
