Summary
The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing commercial and industrial projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives. Their duties include dividing up their budget for different project aspects and advocating for additional funding when necessary, setting or adjusting project schedules to adhere to deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Maintains an environment which adheres to safety, inclusiveness, career progression, teamwork, and customer focus.
•Maintains relationships with existing customers, develops relationships with new customers and prospects for new business.
•Takes ownership from the estimator for projects after the handoff meeting.
•Addresses concerns pertaining to likelihood of project success based upon the estimate.
•Reviews job documents, plans and specifications.
•Prepares proposals and correspondence for potential or ongoing projects.
•Attends on-site job meetings and serves as company representative to general contractors, other contractors, design professionals, and clients.
•Coordinates and oversees projects with site superintendent or project foreman based upon the scope of the project.
•Makes technical decisions for the project adhering to all regulations and the scope of the project.
•Determines manpower needs for each project.
•Makes adjustments to the schedule based upon input from the customer, the general contractor, vendors, and subcontractors.
•Responsible for budget management of assigned projects through material tracking, equipment rental/use, and labor efficiency.
•Documents and gives routine updates including safety, quality, schedule, and adherence to budget to the stakeholders.
•Manages submittals, RFI’s, and change orders for projects.
•Acts when the scope of the project changes which could impact safety, quality, delivery, or cost.
•Facilitates discussions with customers and suppliers to keep the project in scope.
•Responsible for quality assurance to ensure work is compliant with industry standards, project specifications, and safety standards.
•Required to maintain monthly WIP and invoicing.
•Estimate small projects and change orders with estimating software.
•Request required material and subcontractor quotes as required.
•Maintains and enforces safety requirements on project sites.
•Facilitates the debrief process at the end of the project, communicates the results and archives the data in the appropriate folder.
•Performs all other duties as requested.
•Follows all company policies, procedures, and safety rules. Always conducts self in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner as a representative of company.

•5 years of HVAC experience required
•3 years of Project Management experience required.
•Excellent verbal and written communication required.
•Use of project management software preferred.
•Proficient with basic computer software including MS Office, & Excel.
•Experience with contract documents, contract drawings, specifications, addendums, & Change orders.
Requirements:
•Valid driver’s license required to travel to various job sites or ability or provide own transportation for necessary job function.
