Collections Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts, primarily in the oil and gas field. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to negotiate effectively with clients. The Collections Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring timely payments and managing accounts receivable.

Duties

- Manage collections for outstanding oil and gas accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

- Utilize effective negotiation techniques to resolve payment issues and establish payment plans with clients.

- Conduct account analysis to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection efforts.

- Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile accounts and ensure accurate reporting of debits and credits.

- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding their accounts and payment options.

- Utilize phone etiquette skills to communicate professionally with clients during collection calls.

Experience

Candidates should possess a background in oil and gas collections or accounts payable/receivable, with a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles. Experience with financial software, accounting software, and account reconciliation is highly desirable. Familiarity with oil and gas billing processes, revenue cycle management, and related terminology will be beneficial in this role. Strong math skills are essential for analyzing accounts and resolving discrepancies effectively. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
