Inventory Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring accurate data management. This position requires strong analytical skills and experience in warehouse management, procurement, and logistics. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with various departments to enhance inventory control and support overall operational efficiency.

Duties

- Manage inventory levels through effective tracking and monitoring of stock.

- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory records.

- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and optimize stock levels.

- Collaborate with supply chain teams to improve processes related to purchasing, sourcing, and demand planning.

- Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms for procurement.

- Oversee shipping & receiving operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment.

- Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency in inventory management.

- Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau for reporting purposes.

- Maintain compliance with safety standards while handling materials and equipment.

Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

- At least one year of experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control.

- Familiarity with Microsoft excel

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data mining and financial analysis.

- Experience with logistics operations including shipping & receiving and order fulfillment.

- Knowledge of category management, merchandising, and retail management principles.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in a warehouse environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
