Join a team where cold forming does the heavy lifting. You’ll roll threads—and other specialty forms—on ductile metals using precision centerless-ground blanks to achieve exceptional quality. Your attention to detail will keep parts flowing through the department while you maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot multiple heat-treat units to meet daily goals.
- Follow documented job travelers and quality procedures without exception.
- Adjust machine parameters (speed, pressure, temperature, dimensions, material flow) to specification.
- Operate equipment via control panels; start/stop and cycle machines as required.
- Inspect materials, parts, and equipment to identify defects, errors, or root causes of issues.
- Measure and weigh products to verify standards using Calipers, Micrometers, and a Length Gage.
- Watch indicators, lights, and gauges continuously to catch malfunctions early.
- Clear jams safely; remove defective or substandard material to protect quality.
- Review operations with your Supervisor to resolve processing challenges.
- Assess information from materials, events, and the environment to prevent problems.What sets you up for success
- Preferably 1+ year as a roll thread operator in fastener manufacturing.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 practices and documentation.
- Proficiency with Root Cause Analysis and deductive reasoning.
- Effective spoken communication in a production setting.
- Ability to fine-tune machine components for process control.
- Basic heading machine maintenance knowledge.
- Reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to switch tasks quickly with minimal error.
- Comfort with physical work: lifting, walking, and material handling; unwavering commitment to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
