CNC Production Set-Up

SUMMARY

Viking Tool & Gage is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to help drive our business growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medium-volume production environment, a sense of urgency, strong organizational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Interpret technical drawings in relation to equipment capability and product specifications.

· Create new CNC Mill programs; as well as corrections, revisions and enhancements to existing programs using CAM software.

· Work with materials such as; aluminum, extrusions, and various castings.

· Regularly consult with sales, production supervision and production control regarding programming and set-up priorities.

· Work with other CNC set-up personnel, as well as production operators, regarding any programming and tooling needs.

·Perform set-ups and create programs with emphasis on product quality and production efficiency.

· Troubleshoot programming and production issues that may arise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Previous experience working in a production setting is required

· Previous experience programming and setting up various horizontal and vertical CNC mills.

· Proficient computer skills; GibbsCAM experience preferred but, will train if experienced in other CAM software's.

· Must have strong attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential

· Must have a professional attitude and excellent communication skills

· Capable of standing for extended periods of time.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Overtime available as production requires.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time.

Pay is commensurate with experience, education, certifications and training.

Sign on bonus of $250 at 6 months and $500 at 1 year.
