Job Title: CNC Programmer
THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION in our Lawrenceville, GA facility*
Position Overview:
The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing and modifying CNC programs for CNC machining centers and CNC lathes. This role requires collaboration with machine operators to assist with machine operation, troubleshooting, and providing general guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
•Review and modify 3D models and technical drawings to create CNC programs.
•Utilize computer software to generate cutting/machining paths for various equipment.
•Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality standards.
•Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
•Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues as they arise.
•Train machine operators on the use of machines and specific programs created.
•Update existing programs to ensure optimal material usage and machine run time.
•Participate in the selection of new CNC equipment as needed.
•Serve as the in-house expert on new CNC equipment through research and training.
•Collaborate with the Quality Management System to ensure programs are up to date with the latest revisions and that all equipment is loaded with the correct versions.
Qualifications:
•Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience.
•Minimum 3 years of Machining knowledge.
•Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings.
•Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks experience preferred).
•Experience with Mastercam (preferred).
•Competence with basic metrology tools and measuring devices (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
•High attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
