Responsibilities:
•Read and interpret detailed Auto CAD drawings and Solid models
•Use Gibbs Cam to create accurate and efficient CNC programs to be used in the machining of oilfield components
•Update, modify and improve existing programs to current revisions, methods, and updated tooling
•Work closely with shop floor personnel on “dialing in” machining processes to lower cost and improve quality
•Trouble shoot and correct machining problems
•Test new processes and tooling to lower costs
•Work with Engineers to improve manufacturability of new and existing products
•Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
•Abide by all safety rules and requirements
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming or a related field preferred
•Minimum 8 years’ experience working within machine shop environment
•Minimum 5 years’ experience programming with Gibbs CAM
•Experience programming both lathes and mills up to 5 axis
•Familiar with Haas and Fanuc Controls
•Experience in Solid Works is a plus
•In-depth knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for various materials
•Experience setting up and running CNC lathe and mills
•Strong communication and teamwork abilities
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•Must be able to work weekends as needed
