CNC Operator Job Responsibilities:
•
Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and orthographic drawings.
•
Takes inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available, anticipated stock, and placing orders.
•
Set-up lathes proficiently
•
Operate Lathe by loading and unloading parts
•
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces.
•
Maintains specifications by observing drawings, tolerances and surface finishes
•
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
•
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
•
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions.
•
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
CNC Operator Qualifications and Skills
•
Ability to set-up and operate CNC Lathes
•
Great technical skills
•
Good attention to detail
•
Strong team player
•
Must be self-motivated
Education and Experience Requirements
•
High school diploma or equivalent
•
1-5 years of experience operating CNC and lathes in a production environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
