CNC Operator Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a CNC Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This full time, permanent position is primarily CNC mill and lathe operation but also includes some material handling, operation of band saws, deburring, and problem solving with other team members.
Qualifications
•Past CNC Operating Experience.
•Detail-Oriented - You're responsible for measuring, gauging, and maintaining tolerances.
•Organization - Everyone is expected to work together in maintaining a clean, organized workplace.
•Team Player - You'll be working in close quarters with a small group of people and cooperation is essential. The nature of the environment requires excellent spoken and written English.
•Self Directed - You will often be able to determine the flow of your own day and must be able to stay motivated and prioritize appropriately.
•Physically Fit With Good Stamina - There is regular lifting to 30 pounds and most of the day is spent standing up and moving around the shop. We operate on a 4 day work week with 7am-5:30pm shifts (3:30 on Fridays) but the good news is that every Monday is a holiday!
BONUS SKILLS (not required but would be very useful):
•The ability to do your own machine setups
•The ability to read+edit G and M code at the machine
•Experience with Mastercam
