CNC Operator Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of machining processes. The CNC Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
•Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and engineering drawings.
•Select and align holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
•Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
•Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
•Interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure product quality.
•Use hand tools and tooling effectively for adjustments and modifications as needed.
•Conduct quality assurance checks.
•Operate additional equipment such as press brake machines when required.
•Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
•Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
•Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
•Proficient in operating Fanuc-controlled machines and understanding logic controllers.
•Familiarity with materials handling procedures and practices.
•Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all aspects of work.
