Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC programming and a strong understanding of machining processes. This role requires proficiency in operating CNC milling machines, as well as the ability to read blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments. The successful candidate will contribute to the production of high-quality components while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are utilized.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and tooling design.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in training new employees on CNC programming and machine operation as needed.
- Proven experience in CNC programming with a focus on milling machines; familiarity with CNC lathes is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks for design purposes.
- Experience with CAM programming for efficient toolpath generation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication, assembly line operations, and materials handling.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail for quality control measures.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
