The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, testing, and optimizing programs for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to produce precision metal parts according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of machining processes, blueprint reading, and G-code.
· Program CNC machines using Radan for nesting parts on metal sheets.
· Use RadPunch or Striker CAD/CAM for punch programming.
· Use RadBend with SolidWorks for press brake programs if proficient.
· Ensure continuous flow of orders to keep the laser stocked.
· Manage expedited parts, including solo sheets or injections into open orders.
· Read drawings and take or read measurements to verify parts.
· Maintain specifications by observing, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and troubleshooting processes.
· Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
· Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
· Experience with CNC programming and using Radan, RadPunch, and Striker CAD/CAM.
· Familiarity with CAD and SolidWorks is a plus.
· Ability to follow procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data.
· Ability to meet planned and unscheduled deadlines.
· A willingness to be cross-trained is desirable.
· This is a working manufacturing and production facility. As such this is a hot, dusty, loud area, and there are always moving parts. Caution and attention to your surroundings need to always be at the front of your mind as safety always starts with you.
· Primarily office-based with high engagement across departments and production teams
· May require occasional travel (<10%) for training, recruiting, or compliance functions.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Talk and hear to communicate with others. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
