Position Brief

Machinist/Engineering Department

•

Part Time: up to 20hrs per week / On-site / Greensboro, NC

•

Salary Range: Up to $32 per hour

•

Qualifications

•

Fusion 360, Understanding of G Code Skillset is MUST.

•

Proven experience as machinist of Milling /Lathe machine in a similar role is preferred.

•

Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the machining process and sequence.

•

Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and 3-axis machines (Mills, lathes, grinders etc.)

•

Experience with HAAS Controls and set up.

•

Knowledge of precise measurement and use of instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, etc.

•

Knowledge of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

•

Good at math with analytical abilities

•

Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.

•

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.

•

Experience selecting the appropriate machine tooling required for different setups (chucks, tool holdings, machine tool selection)

•

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

•

Team player and able to adjust to the demands of an Agile Development Environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

•

Analyzing specification charts, samples and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements.

•

Developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications.

•

Measuring and marking raw materials needed to manufacture parts.

•

Setting and loading all tools in conjunction with set-up instructions to complete assigned jobs.

•

Properly set up HAAS CNC Machinery for each step of the manufacturing plan. Safely operate machinery, with understanding of G Codes for new or existing parts.

•

Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise. Adjust machine settings and tooling as necessary to achieve desired results.

•

Perform first piece inspections once setup is completed.

•

Complies with and maintains inspection procedures throughout production run.

Pay: Up to $32.00 per hour
