CNC Machinist Job Description

Duties
•
Operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to manufacture precision parts according to specifications.
•
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining processes.
•
Set up machines for production runs, including loading tools and materials as required.
•
Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
•
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
•
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
•
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and product designs.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements
•
Two-year degree in Machine Trades or equivalent experience
•
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
•
Experience setting up irregular parts in CNC mills
•
Highschool Diploma or GED
•
Experience with CAM software is required
•
Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred
•
Familiarity with milling machines and power tools
•
Ability to use hand tools effectively
