- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes) to manufacture parts to precise specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, process routers, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
- Perform machine setups, including selection and installation of tooling, fixtures, and materials.
- Make necessary offsets and tool changes during production to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Create and/or edit CNC programs to improve cycle times, part quality, and machine efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and report issues requiring additional repair or service.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, programmers, and quality control personnel regarding production issues or improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Assist fellow machinists with troubleshooting and support as needed.
- Perform various other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support production goals.
- 2 - 5 years: Previous CNC Machining Experience
- Team Player: Works well as a member of a group
- Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
