Job Description:

Lathe CNC Machinist:

- 2nd shift, 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday 2PM-12:30pm

Position Summary:

In Bethlehem, PA, Valve Manufacturing Company is seeking a CNC machinist with at least 2-5 years of minimum machining experience. Machinist will be working with CNC lathe equipment used to machine critical control valve components in the Commercial, Industrial, and Department of Defense Naval markets. Machinist will be working with a company that has a registered ISO-9001 quality system. CNC Operators are highly skilled professionals, able to work with great concentration and precision. They must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Working with sand and investment castings a plus

- Great work ethic and mechanical aptitude

- Knowledge of G-code or M-code is a plus

- Small lot production runs of various casting alloys

- Ability to set-up and run jobs independently and be able to manufacture a variety of parts to close tolerances (±0.001 – 0.0005)

- Familiar with various precision gauges for Inspection of parts machined

- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

- Understand the specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.

- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

- Maintain a clean and safe work area

- Proven experience as CNC operator

- Strong commitment to Safety and Teamwork

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience, with consideration for all reasonable experience levels. A robust Healthcare plan and 401K are offered after a vesting period. Job Type: Full-time
