Emtek Processed Alloys is a processor of Stainless Steel, Aluminum, & Nickel Alloy materials utilizing the latest CNC technology to produce components for a variety of industries. Emtek Processed Alloys is seeking a motivated individual to work as a CNC Machine Operator - Laser on the afternoon Shift in Cambridge, ON. Afternoon shift hours are 3:00pm – 1:00am Monday to Thursday.
CNC machines are incredibly complex, which requires skilled professionals to work on them. A CNC Machine operator sets up and operates metal processing machinery to manufacture high precision components. The CNC Machine Operator - Water Jet/Laser Operator role is all-encompassing requiring the successful candidate to be a responsible team first individual.
· Afternoon Shift (Mon - Thurs, 4x10 hour shifts, 3:00pm -1:00am)
· Verify all machine conditions prior to processing the materials
· Maintain a clean and organized working environment
· Complete routine maintenance of their machinery where required
· Enter all relevant codes to specify the feed, speed, and cut of any toolpath for a CNC
· Operate various tools and equipment: air tools, grinders, overhead cranes, forklift, hand tools
· Verify counts with work order & review work quality/dimensional accuracy
· Various other job-related tasks may be assigned
· All other duties and projects as assigned by management
· 3+ years previous experience as a laser operator, water jet or CNC operator experience.
· Previous experience with laser, water jet, CNC operation, fabrication, machining would be a major asset when being considered for the position.
· Experience with work order documents & material traceability
· Ability to comfortably lift/carry up to 50/lbs
· Experience working autonomously in a shop & office environment
· Good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment
· Post Secondary Education in a related field is an asset
