Manufacturing Techs- Turret Operations serve a key role in the Federal’s ability to satisfy the needs of our customers. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Actual assignments include turret operations, de-nesting, and other work the production lead sees as appropriate.
2. Will be required to cross train, learn and perform on the Laser Machine.
3. Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications
4. Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, and ring gauges
5. Start up and shut down processing equipment
6. Collect hazardous or non-hazardous waste in correctly labeled barrels or other containers and transfer them to collection areas
7. Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors
8. Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
9. Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity
10. Clean production equipment and work areas; Select cleaning materials, tools, and equipment
11. Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
13. Provide advice or training to other technicians
14. Assist Engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes and new products, processes, or procedures
15. Set up and verify functionality of safety equipment on machines
16. Measure and record data associated with operating equipment
17. Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality
· Minimum if 2 to 3 years sheet metal manufacturer experience
· Math, reading, and language skills able to effectively utilize company information systems
· Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
· Knowledge and ability in blueprint reading and metrology
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task is crucial

During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds, such as removing materials from shipping containers.

The employee works in a manufacturing environment and is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high places. He/she is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
