Laser Operator - Night Shift

Laser Operator - Entry Level (North Kansas City)

We are looking for an energetic, smart, entry level Laser Operator who is process oriented. You will gain product, industry, and process knowledge through a combination of direct mentoring by an experienced operator and hands on experience. The successful candidate will operate a Coherent or IPG Laser, fabricating both stainless steel and aluminum plates.

NIGHT SHIFT is four 10 hour shifts Mon-Thur 8:00pm-6:30am, and some overtime when satisfying our customers requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must be teachable.

Good mechanical, computer and math skills.

Candidate must be willing and able to learn other tasks.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Be flexible and adept at working as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.

GENERAL OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS:

Read a job ticket and follow the process steps.

Participate in Daily Continuous Improvement.

Cross train in other key skills throughout the production facility as opportunity and your ability to learn merit.

Locate and open a fabrication program on the server.

Perform a First Article Inspection.

Loading and Unloading metal flats from a Coherent Laser or IPG Laser.

Tap out, buff, weigh count and shrink wrap individual parts.
