R.W. Raddatz Inc., located in Deerfield Beach, is a precision machine shop, specialized in repair of aircraft parts, production of parts for nuclear energy and other commercial industries and the production of specialized tooling. R.W. Raddatz is ISO 9010, FAA and EASA approved. The company is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist. The candidate will be responsible for fabricating parts to specification from engineering drawings. The candidate will by performing own set-ups on all shop equipment available, using CNC Lathes, and other machine shop equipment. As a CNC Machinist, the candidate will also be responsible for meeting production goals including machine utilization, performing inline inspection of all their work, fixture and tooling manufacturing where required. The candidate will also aid in doing general shop maintenance, such as performing preventive maintenance on the equipment and cleaning of general departmental area.

REQUIREMENTS

- Must have a minimum experience of 5 years as a CNC Lathe Machinist

- Must pose an excellent safety and attendance record.

- Must have basic machinist tools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Candidate must be able to perform CNC activities with limited supervision.

- Adheres to all company safety procedures and maintains a clean work area.

- Reads measuring and testing instruments.

- Verifies blueprint specifications.

- Regular attendance is a requirement that is key to performing the job.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or general education degree; Or vocational school diploma.

Or equivalent combination of experience and education.

- CNC experience

- Knowledge of metal cutting machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control for the effective manufacture of metal parts.

- Experience in aviation industry is a preference.

- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program helpful.
