Class-1 Truck Driver

GFL Environmental is looking for a Class 1 Driver to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia!

As a Class 1 driver you will be responsible to safely, efficiently, and courteously provide waste transport in Victoria, British Columbia. An ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor and is physically capable of completing job duties in a positive, team-oriented and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for performing assigned duties and hauling of customers waste to desired destination.

- Perform driver check-ins periodically to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.

- Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities

- Required to tarp loads

- Required to be able to lift 25-50 pounds

- Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies

- May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route Supervisor/Site Manager

- Required to follow all applicable Provincial and Federal transportation laws

Requirements

- Must have valid Class 1 License with Air Brake endorsement

- 1-2 years driving experience in a transportation sector

- Walking-floor trailer / End Dump Truck experience

- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Walking-floor trailer experience is an asset
