Job Summary
Oversee the damage investigation process, manage damage files, negotiate resolution on outstanding claims and approve claim payments in the assigned area(s) in accordance with all LineQuest standard and guidelines. Track and control cost of damages. Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers and timely reporting of liabilities due to damages. Provide key indicator data for reporting and work closely with other support functions within the Area to facilitate a learning loop with the ultimate goal of improving quality and reducing the overall cost of damages.
Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required
BS or BA preferred in areas of construction, management, or logistics.
Qualifications Requirements
2+ years’ experience in contract line locating preferred.
Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for tracking all customer utility damages to include 3rd party claims against the company.
Create and dispatch damages to field supervisors.
Review of all investigations and supporting documents to determine liability and present case to customer or 3rd party claimant.
Provide help and site visit to all high cost and HP profile damages.
Meet customer contractual requirements for providing investigations and supporting documents.
Skilled in negotiation to limit companies’ liability.
Knowledge of locating, state laws, and requirements pertaining to contract line locating.
Great customer service required.
Primary job is to limit company liability through relationships, knowledge, and accurate objective review of investigation and supporting documents.
Provide training and help to supervisors along with Area Manager on proper completion of investigation per customer requirements.
Track and manage all damages in the Area(s) assigned, in addition track liable damages by tech and supervisor group.
Through review process document points of concern with locating and provide that information in detail to Area Manager
Attend 811 meetings to support efforts in Damage Prevention for the State and on behalf of company.
Make recommendations of contractual missed based on audits and review of investigation data.
Other duties may be required as changes or customer requirements become known.
