Chemical Laboratory Technician

HV Oil Incorporated is a laboratory facility offering analysis, sample collection, consultation and training services related to high voltage oil filled electrical equipment. Currently, HV Oil Incorporated operates branches in Edmonton and Saskatoon.

We are seeking a Laboratory and Field technician. This position is based out of EDMONTON, AB.

Preference will be given to candidates already located in Edmonton.

Walk-in interviews are scheduled for the week of March 9–13. To participate, please submit your resume for pre-screening. Qualified candidates will be notified of the designated interview date and time.

Duties may include:

- Having a safety first mindset is a must

- Ability to work in a variety of work environments

- Analyze samples using Oil Quality Testers, GC, Karl Fisher Titrator, and other instruments by closely following HV Oil Incorporated and ASTM procedures

- Maintain workspace, clean lab equipment and glassware using chemicals.

- Receive and log in samples in an organized manner.

- Review and enter laboratory data into Microsoft Excel or HV Oil Database

- Receive and execute operational instructions by contact with the head office in Edmonton

- Chemistry background and/or some post secondary education (diploma, degree) is preferred.

- Some laboratory and industrial experience is preferred, but not required.

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation to and from work

This is a seasonal opening, with high potential for full time employment.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
