THE ROLE
We are seeking a CDL Equipment Operator to join our team as a Demonstration Specialist. This is a highly travel-intensive, field-based role responsible for operating and showcasing specialized equipment, including the Sewer Equipment 900 (combination sewer cleaner) and Sewer Equipment HX (hydro excavation truck).
The Demonstration Specialist serves as the subject matter expert, providing live, real-world demonstrations for current and prospective customers across BEC’s multi-state footprint, including Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin. This role requires approximately 80% travel, with frequent overnight stays (typically 2–3 nights per week, roughly 3 weeks per month).
This position is best suited for individuals who genuinely enjoy extensive travel, working independently on the road, and operating in a dynamic, field-based environment.

- Comfortable with an approximate travel schedule of 80%, including multiple overnight stays per week
- Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record required
- 3+ years of hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, preferably sewer or hydro excavation equipment- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Prior demonstration, training, or customer-facing field experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Professional, dependable, and safety-focused approach
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
