- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Geomatics Engineering Technology Diploma or
- Engineering Design and Drafting Technology Diploma or
- Similar CAD related experience or education
- Extensive Knowledge of AutoDesk Civil3D and or
- Extensive Knowledge of the Dominion Land Survey system
- Desktop computer skills (email, spreadsheets, word processing)
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint
Our candidate must have knowledge of AutoCAD and Standard drafting practices. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and must be able to complete drafting in a timely manner, especially when faced with a time sensitive project.
Must be capable of carrying out all duties as instructed by Project Managers. Must be able communicate with the Branch Manager, Drafting Manager, office associates, field staff and Senior Management. Must possess excellent organizational and scheduling skills. Must be proficient with AutoCAD – Specifically Civil3D.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes.
- Set up new project files
- Draft legal survey drawings
- Draft Pipeline related drawings
- Prepare conceptual development plans
- Draft Topographic Surveys – which could include the preparation of surface models and contours from field data and progress to the grading design.
- Ability to read and understand client supplied Engineering issued for construction drawings (AutoCAD and/or PDF)
