About the role
We are seeking a Buyer to play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring high-quality products that align with our company's standards and objectives. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations for our new and existing anaerobic digestor projects.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide day-to-day administrative support including maintaining organized filing system and coordinating document retrieval and distribution.
•Organize and manage Procurement inbox, correspondence, and filing of vendor emails.
•Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and requisitions in accordance with company policies.
•Track Certificate of Insurance (CoI) renewals and maintain up-to-date documentation and details in system of record.
•Maintain master Purchasing List and vendor Prequalification files, as well as updating for contact changes, COI expirations, financials, or any other vendor related items.
•Conduct prequalification research and maintain subcontractor prequalification files; obtain and enter values for current Experience Modification Rate (EMR), and financials into Prequalification system.
•Manage and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or invoices.
•Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels.
•Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their products, services, and prices.
•Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best terms and prices.
•Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement activities.
•Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
•Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging products to make informed purchasing decisions.
Qualifications
•High School Diploma and minimum of 5 years of relevant administrative assistant experience, required
•College degree and/or relevant administrative skills certification, a plus
•Construction, Purchasing, Procurement, or other related experience, a plus
•Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost reduction.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Procore, procurement software and ERP systems.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Knowledge of market research and sourcing strategies.
•Familiarity with contract management and vendor relationships.
•Understanding of inventory management and demand planning.
•Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits
•$55,000-$68,000 depending on relevant experience
•Eligible for bonus & Company equity plan

•Expense reimbursement for work-related travel
Travel/Location
•Based in our Headquarters in Salem, NH and will require travel ~ 10%.
