The Opportunity
Strategy & Corporate Development seek an #EnergyProblemSolver to join our fast-paced team, based in Calgary, AB.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Capital Allocation Governance this position will help streamline the process for document reviews, approvals, submissions and archiving of recurring and ad-hoc deliveries required to deliver on the strategy of one of North America’s largest energy infrastructure portfolios.
The Business Coordinator will interface with individuals and teams across functions and jurisdictions to enable timely, traceable, very high-quality deliveries to all levels of the TC Energy team, including executives and the Board of Directors. Collaboration and organizational skills will be paramount.
What You'll Do
•Support the Capital Allocation Governance and Corporate Strategy functions with records and information management for executive meetings, submission of final versions as well as centralized storage for record keeping and future reference
•Interface with content contributors, and support with delivery planning and scheduling
•Ensure compliant, transparent and strict file access/permissions
•Maintain a database of projects and opportunities seeking capital, including all relevant materials and progression through the Capital Allocation process.
•Support workstream owners with development of meeting agendas, schedules and work back plans for upcoming deliverables, manage preparation/logistics of larger sessions, and additional support as required.
•Similar record management responsibilities will also be required to support management and administration of enterprise subscriptions during license renewals, as well as for budget purposes and to audit usage
•Coordinate enterprise subscription vendor payments following annual license renewals
•Other activities as required
Some of the key internal customer deliveries include:
•Monthly Capital Allocation Committee meetings
•Regular Project Risk Review Committee meetings
•Quarterly executive leadership or Board of Directors meetings
•Other recurring and ad-hoc deliveries for VP, CFO/EVP and intersecting teams
Minimum qualifications
•Post-Secondary Education in a relevant field
•Combination of education and experience may be considered
•5 years of progressive experience, with the ability to demonstrate and communicate relevance of that experience to the Business Coordinator role
•Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Planner, etc. to ensure confidentiality and corporate policy compliance while facilitating appropriate information sharing and transparency
•Superior oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact, diplomacy and adapting style and content to meet goals and counterparty needs
Preferred Qualifications
•Proficiency with other Microsoft software including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Power BI
•Expert level of Microsoft tools with ability to identify, recommend and implement workflow/process improvement opportunities to maximize productivity, minimize errors, increase traceability and elevate quality of deliverables.
