Kendhammer A-1 Roofing & Construction is a family-owned business specializing in roofing, siding, gutters, soffit/fascia, and doors & windows. We have been a trusted name in the Coulee Region for generations, and in recent years, brothers-in-law’s Shane and Craig merged their two companies into one. Our mission is to create an awareness in the community by tending to the homes of the people within it.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is a crucial part of our company. Responsible for recording financial transactions, ensuring legal requirements compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. The ideal candidate has strong numerical skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and maintain a high level of confidentiality. They also must have human skills and good communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
•Process and administer payroll
•Prepare check disbursements and 1099’s
•Perform banking, processing deposits, and all associated finance entries
•Conduct reconciliation of accounts
•Record and review day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
•Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month
•Monitor financial reports
•Process tax payments and reports
•General bookkeeping/ date entry
•Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
•Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
•Provide assistance to owners and team members as requested
•Update books for our Concrete company
Perform other duties as assigned*
QUALIFICATIONS
•Associate degree or higher in accounting/finance/business or a minimum of 2 years bookkeeping/accounting experience
•Up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications, including QuickBooks
•A general understanding of investment products
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
•Goal-oriented and results-driven
•Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
•Ability to analyze problems and develop viable solutions
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including Microsoft Excel
