Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager/ Bookkeeper to oversee our office operations and ensure efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with experience in corporate and governmental accounting practices. This role requires proficiency in various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, account analysis, and general ledger accounting. The Office Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall administrative functions of the office. Experience with Sage Contractor 100 is a plus.
Duties
•Manage daily office operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
•Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
•Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
•Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks, including managing the general ledger.
•Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting processes.
•Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
•Train and supervise administrative staff, providing guidance on accounting practices.
•Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records.
•Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
Requirements
•Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting is preferred.
•Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and account reconciliation techniques.
•Proficiency in QuickBooks, specifically Sage Contractor 100 and other accounting software is essential.
•Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles and practices.
•Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
•Strong analytical skills to perform account analysis effectively.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
