Location: Columbia, Maryland Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Executive Director of Operations
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper with proven experience using QuickBooks to manage day-to-day accounting and financial tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and generating financial reports to support business decision-making.
- Manage full-cycle accounting duties, including general ledger, journal entries, and adjusting entries
- Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, assets, and expenses
- Work closely with CPA for annual audits and tax preparation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
- Maintain organized digital and paper records of financial transactions
- Two or more years bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
