Department: Accounting and Operations Job Title: Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant Reports to: Accounting and Operations Management
This is an hourly role responsible for performing bookkeeping and administrative duties to support the Accounting and Operations departments.
- Bookkeeping: Accounts receivable/payable support, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel to maintain and update company spreadsheets.
- Administrative Support: Assist management with the preparation and filing of forms, reports, and company documents.
- Learn and utilize the THINK Quote System and THINK Administrative System software to retrieve project and quote information.
- Collaborate with management to create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Accounting and Operations.
- Maintain organized records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is an asset.
- QuickBooks Certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping and administrative experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines independently.
- Capacity to take initiative and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
- Experience with simple marketing initiatives and basic design (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar tools) is considered an asset.
