- Administering health and other insurance benefits
- Maintains thorough understanding of all benefits in order to support the plant locations
- Performs corporate benefits orientation and assists with enrollment as necessary
- Provides customer service to teammates by answering benefits questions and resolving issues
- Assists teammates and HR Coordinators in filing STD, LTD and life claims as well as helps to resolve questions and issues
- Administers FMLA with oversight of Senior Benefits Specialist
- Monitoring timecards for leave hours used and ensuring benefit premium payments are made
- Prepares and sends communication in relation to FMLA requirements
- Distributes ERISA documents
- Assists with teammate inquiries
- Open Enrollment
- Participates in open enrollment meetings and assists teammates as needed at both corporate and off-site facilities
- Assist in annual open enrollment period and coordinating with brokers, vendors, and teammates
- Provides benefits related administrative support and project management
- Creates and distribute benefits notices and other communications for teammates
- Performs benefits audits
- Assists with benefits compliance projects and processes
- Support in planning, implementing, and monitoring of company-wide wellness initiatives
- Draft and distribute employee wellness communications
- Assist with the planning of the annual wellness screening process in conjunction with benefits open enrollment schedule
- Design and implement wellness engagement activities
- Work with wellness vendor to resolve issues and troubleshoot
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to correctly retrieve and input data in computer
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must display proven interviewing and presentation skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality

- Must have knowledge of Human Resource functions and laws

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prefer an Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field and one to two years related work experience. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and teammates, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Specialized skills and knowledge of the basic Human Resource functions is critical for this position. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This work is performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people.
