We are seeking a skilled and experienced automation technician to join our team! This position works in conjunction with various departments.

- Program and troubleshoot robots (ABB-Studio Robot)
- Train operators to run robots
- Participate in root cause analysis to identify and address failures
- Perform scheduled backups of PLC (Omron) and Robotic programs
- Understand and execute assigned work efficiently to minimize machine downtime
- Identify, implement and administer opportunities for Continuous Improvement
- Joint Health and Safety Committee Leader (hold bi-monthly JHSC meetings, prepare agenda and record minutes)
- Work with Production and Tooling Managers on production issues with new products and assist Sales as needed on potential new jobs when onboarding
- Lead APQP team and ensure facility meets the requirements of our quality system with respect to- Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing environment an asset
- Experience in PLC and robotic repair/programming
- Understanding of electrical/electronic schematic diagrams and blueprints
- Knowledge of PLC programming including Allan Bradley, Omron
- Knowledge of robotic systems (ABB)
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, ERP)
- Completion of a post secondary program in electrical or mechanical technology (or equivalent)
