Assistant Shop Foreman - Sheet Metal Fabrication

Please note that this is an assistant shop foreman position in a job shop environment. This candidate will be directly supervising all aspects of manufacturing and must have extensive experience in MIG/TIG welding, manual machining, laser cutting, shearing, rolling and precision sheet metal forming with a press brake.

Successful completion of written and practical skills assessment is required to receive a job offer.

JOB REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

*Substantial experience (3+ years) in Precision Custom Metal Fabrication with tolerances as close as .010", Shearing, Punching, Forming (bend allowances, back gauge settings, etc), and Assemblies.

*Knowledge and practice in figuring shear blank sizes using standard bend allowances.

*Extensive experience in sheet metal layout and forming with press brake.

*Extensive experience in use of CNC brake press back gauges.

*Experience in manual milling/turning.

*Experience in MIG/TIG welding.

*Experience in laser/plasma cutting.

*Experience in prioritization and administration of job schedule.

*Ability to read blueprints fluently.

*Ability to identify Carbon Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

*Experience in CAD/CAM design.

*Previous management experience in job shop setting.

Compensation based on skills and experience. Hours are 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday, with occasional overtime on Friday..
